When I decided to move to Melville, Perth, WA, I moved in with a mate who was also from Mildura, but I knew something was up the moment I arrived.. I didn't want to enter the house and even said aloud, "I don't like this house" to which Gary replied "Ha funny that, because it's haunted".. Bang, hit me like a road train, that comment confirmed what I already knew..
The house was old, built in the early half of the 20th century, what was creepy about it was that it was rented to us as 'fully furnished' yeah with antique furniture! and that awful feeling of being watched all the time..
Upon inspection of the garden shed, we found hundred of dolls in rotting suitcases, the combination of creepy dolls and mould was too much, I personally wanted to set the shed alight, now looking back I believe it was a factor in the goings on there.. Gary was telling me his first experience in the house when he realised when something was 'off' when he awoke one night to see shadows of legs walk past his bedroom door, he could see it from the gap of the bedroom door underneath, then an almighty SLAM of a wardrobe door in another bedroom, convinced someone was in the house, he got up and checked, to find nothing, nobody, and no sign of entry.. the next day he found a tie that was in that wardrobe, in the middle of the lounge room floor where he had vacuumed earlier and was adamant it was not there before, and at the time he was the only one living there..
My experiences in the house started with footsteps, and a bedroom door would shudder and shake sometimes on its own accord.. what made it more interesting is that the floor was concrete and not floorboards, so how do you explain footsteps on hard lino and tiles? clear as day like boots or hard soled shoes..
One night the foot step experience got mind blowing.. at this stage there were 5 people living in the house, and of course all terrified of the goings on, one night I was alone in the kitchen, where funnily enough where my computer was set up as it was the only place for it, I got an instant feeling of someone behind me, so I shut the pc down, started walking quietly down the hall when LOUD hard soled steps came up right behind me and I knew everyone was in bed, BOOM that's when you get that panic set it and you think 'shit', tense up and stop.. what do I do? turn around and see a dead woman? I had to do it, had to face my fears almost to the point of tears welling up in my eyes out of the combination of terror and the unknown, all I know is that I was ready to yell at the top of my lungs to alert everyone, then I turn around to see nothing, when I heard it walk right up to me, there was something there.. but I couldn't see it.
My other mind blowing experience really took the cake.. you know how on some ghost shows they may catch an orb zooming in and out fast, well I had the privilege of witnessing a real orb for a full 2 minutes, with my naked eye, so I KNOW they exist.. It all started when I had trouble sleeping, I still had my glasses on, when I noticed some kind of large moth or something was coming through the large gap at the top of the bedroom door, where light from the hallway was shining through, at what I thought was a moth, then came into the room but it was no moth.. it was a dull orb of light, slightly smaller than a tennis ball, giving off its own light as it entered the room! and was pulsating like a heart beat! I was staring at it, but I wasn't afraid of it, more of a fascination, another thing I found interesting about the orb was that it had something inside of it, it looked like the inner working of a jellyfish.. was this a spirit showing itself to me?
I believe there was 3 spirits in the house, a man, woman and a child, you could hear little fast footsteps occasionally, I think the man was mean and evil and keeping the other two trapped.. but that's just the vibes I was picking up so I could be wrong.. If I was to write about every tiny incident I deemed as paranormal, I'd be sitting here all night so I'll stop here for now.. stay tuned :)
